We are looking for an Accountant to join our 1-Grid Team!

This role will be responsible for the Accounting function as well as providing relevant support and decision making information to other functions within the business in order for further optimisation and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Preparing monthly and quarterly management Accounts.
• Analysis and interpretation of Actual vs Budget and Actual vs Prior years.
• Assisting Financial Manager in preparation of Budgets and Forecasts.
• Take full responsibility for the general ledger through to the trial balance.
• Analysis of variances and working with Operational Management to spot trends and improve company performance
• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly cash forecasts.
• Preparation of Departmental budget vs actual reports.
• Liaise with Department Managers to prepare meaningful and value added variance analysis.
• Manage the bank covenants.
• Analysis of customer profitability.
• Sales by product and user analysis.
• Compile ad-hoc reports as requested.
• Monthly reconciliations of key areas.
• Manage the audit process with the external auditing firm.

Key experience and skills required:
• Bcom/BAcc Finance/Accounting degree.
• 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience with in Tech or Hosting environment an advantage
• Preference for candidates who have used Microsoft Navision and PowerBI
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities.
• Excellent delivery standards.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Assertiveness and ability to influence.
