Job Scope
As the Compliance Analyst, you will be the working with the team on onboarding and KYC compliance of new users onto the bamboo platform. You will analyze data and determine areas of risk and noncompliance for Bamboo. You will generate all the reports and data used for compliance audit and monitoring in Bamboo. You will support the design and implementation of a robust and efficient compliance framework in Bamboo per local regulations and policies. As a compliance Analyst, you will support various areas by researching, analyzing, and evaluating regulations to determine their impact on business processes and accompanying key controls and provide appropriate guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for the execution of oversight protocols that help monitor compliance regulatory requirements, as well as align with Bamboo’s policies.
What you will be doing:
• Work with the team on onboarding and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes for both individuals and institutional investors on the bamboo platform;
• Support the design and implementation of a robust and efficient compliance framework in line with regulations, relevant laws and companies policies ;
• Assist with conducting compliance risk assessment to identify potential risk and develop mitigating startegies;
• Investigate and resolve all customers’ issues relating to onboarding/ KYC and other compliance-related issues;
• Provide support to business units on all compliance-related matters;
• Coordinate with other business units in the continuous improvement and development of products and new business lines;
• Assist with the development and review of Bamboo policies, processes, and procedures;
• Coordinate and provide support for all Compliance projects and other projects within the company;
• Provide support for all compliance-related matters to business units, management, external authorities, and all stakeholders of the business;
• Provide support and resolution to all compliance related users’ requests and inquiries;
• Assist with regulatory, internal, or other third-party audit requests;
• Prepare and submit updates and reports on Compliance activities as may be required;
• Identify and assess possible compliance risks that may arise concerning new products, services, partners, and delivery channels.
• Evaluate compliance controls, including related policies and procedures, to ensure business units are in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and recommend improvements;
About You:
• You have a right to work in South Africa
• A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent
• At least 1-2 years compliance experience in digital financial services or the banking industry
• Completed the RE1/RE 5 exams.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
