Purpose of the job
• Ensuring optimised profitability,
• Auditing a range of commodities that are the most wanted by the PEP consumer market
• Audit of appropriate margins and price points.
• Coordination of information to support the merchandise team with decision-making.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
• Tertiary qualification, preferably purchasing / business management, consumer market and/or marketing management
• 5 to 10 years of Senior Management experience, across various departments
• Must have managed a team;
• Must have managed own budget
• Financial management skills;
• Business and commercial Acumen;
• Advanced computer skills;
• Negotiation skills;
• Meeting facilitation and presentation skills
• In-depth understanding of the end-to-end supply chain process, including the buying process; the planning process; store operational process; systems & supply chain processes;
• Consumer market knowledge and understanding
• In-depth marketing understanding;
• In-depth product knowledge
• G-Suite (advantageous)
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Code 8 Drivers Licence, willingness to travel
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Collaboration
