Duties & Responsibilities

The Teacher must ensure that colleagues follow Dibber’s quality standards in the preschool and lives daily according to the requirements and expectations that are expected centrally
• The educational concept with subject days and Dibber Pedagogy Tree
• Adapt the curriculum and the educational environment to the need of the children in the preschool
• Continuous training on the educational concept through Dibber Academy
• The Teacher must ensure that the preschool appears safe, tidy, and orderly, and initiate measures in the event of deviations

We optimize our operations in line with our growth and financial targets
• The Teacher must drive efforts to improve fill rate, including driving local marketing activities and following up on parents interested in Dibber
• The Teacher must meet internal and external deadlines

We have great Leadership in our Preschools
• The Teacher seeks to achieve continuous improvement in relation to colleagues and parents satisfaction and assist with preparation of action plans following parent and employee surveys.
• The Teacher is expected to cooperate with other preschools locally, nationally, and internationally. Example: Training
• The Teacher ensures that the preschool is involved in the local community
• The teacher follows up on children that is sick in their own group

We are compliant with government legislation and expectations
• The Teacher must follow up and do quality assurance around the preschools’ internal control system in accordance with laws and regulations
• The Teacher must ensure that the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) system in the preschool works in practice, and that it is followed by colleagues

Desired Experience & Qualification
• Education within ECD/teaching, and experience from work in preschools
• Minimum of NQF level 5 qualification in the field of ECD
• Must provide a police clearance certificate in compliance with Regulation 44 of Section 126 of the Children’s Act 38 of 2005
• The Teacher must have proficient knowledge of child development and early education theories and practices, including knowledge of child discipline and assessment
• The Teacher must have teaching skills to implement relevant developmentally appropriate instructional strategies for the young child
• The Teacher must have effective verbal and written skills in English. This includes effective listening skills and appropriate language use
• The Teacher must have the ability to reflect on daily activities to improve educational practice
• The Teacher must have the ability to design, select and make appropriate teaching and learning materials and equipment

Package & Remuneration

Competitive market related salary based on experience - between 180k - 300k per annum

• The Teacher must have a strong leadership profile with the ability to motivate, engage and lead people through vision and clear goals. It is expected that the Teacher can work independently and, in a group, and at the same time be visible in the preschool
• The Teacher must be a strong team builder with the ability to bring out the best in both individuals and groups
• The Teacher must be a good communicator with the ability to create strong relationships
• The Teacher must be result-oriented, have a positive attitude, and should like new challenges and working under pressures
• The Teacher must take initiative and be positive to changes in the Dibber Organization
• The Teacher must maintain strict confidentiality of all issues pertaining to the school
• The Teacher must have good health and mobility
• The Teacher must possess cultural awareness and sensitivity
